Was Nostradamus a Real Prophet?

Michel de Nostredame or Nostradamus was a sixteenth century purported seer and apothecary (the medieval term for medical practitioner), who wrote down a thousand prophecies, many of which, according to those that believe him, have now come true.  His favorite “seering” method was scrying, which involved gazing into a mirror or a bowl of water and waiting for a vision to appear.

One of the most famous is supposed to have referred to the death of Henry II, who died from a jousting accident. The Quatrain, which is how Nostradamus’ prophecies were organized, refers to a single battle, where two wounds become one, piercing the eyes through a “golden cage”. While it is true that Henry II was pieced through the eye through a golden jousting helmet, and died of two separate wounds, the part of the quatrain that refers to the older lion being slain by the younger one seems not to be applicable, as both Henry II and his opponent were around the same age. Another famous prophecy that Nostradamus made refers to a fire in London by name in the year ’66. In 1666, there was a huge one-and-a-half mile by half a mile fire that destroyed the city. Nostradamus is also said to have predicted the French Revolution and Napoleon, Hitler’s rise to power, World Wars I & II, the death of Princess Diana, the Apollo moon landing, and the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Whether or not you believe in his predictions, Nostradamus left an impressive legacy, after all his writings are still being printed almost half a millennium after being published for the first time. The mystery in Nostradamus writings is whether or not his predictions have anything to do with the paranormal or as many skeptics believe, just a statistical exercise. Considering 500 years of history and a 1000 vague, timeless and open to interpretation writings, it is natural that a few of those predictions will coincide perfectly with a major event every now and then.

The Third Eye Man November 1949

Students from the University of South Carolina in Columbia were walking near the Longstreet Theater late one evening when they were stopped in their tracks by the appearance of a gray faced man wearing a silver suit, who removed a manhole cover and disappeared into the sewer. At the time, the strange man was dubbed, “Sewer Man,” but he would soon be given a much different name following another, more terrifying encounter in April 1950.

This time, a policeman discovered a man in silver near the remains of mutilated chickens. He shone his flashlight on the figure. To his horror, the strange man had a third eye in the center of his forehead. The policeman went to his squad car and radioed for help. By the time other officers arrived, the man was gone. Another encounter by students in the Sixties in the steam tunnels under the university kept the memory of Third Eye Man alive.

Although the tunnels were thoroughly searched, no physical evidence of Third Eye Man’s existence has ever been found. Is he a ghost? A creature? An alien? A prank? No one knows, but sightings continued into the early 1990s.

The Crystal Skulls

One of the major global phenomena that still remain unsolved, is the origin of crystal skulls. Who created them and what they served? These are still the questions that remain unanswered.

So far 13 skulls have been found which are kept in museums and private collections. However according to some estimates there are more than 20. They are replicas of human skulls found in Central America and Tibet. The rock crystal from which they were made, is difficult to process. Topaz, corundum and diamond is what the rock crystal is made up of. It is very difficult to process some of these minerals, if torn down.

The most beautiful crystal skull was found in the year of 1927 in Central America. It was many years in the home of Hedzhis-Ann Mitchell, the adoptive daughter of an archeologist. In excavations in Lubaantum, the city in which the Mayans lived, the girl dug up a wonderful gift for her 17th birthday.

Apart from the skull that was found so was its lower jaw, which can be fitted with articulated bolts which is also made of rock crystal. To this day, the skull of Lubaantum has not changed.

Scientists have studied the multiple findings.

When you turn the skull with the "face" to the flames of fire, it's eye holes sinister light. This is due to the extreme precision with which it is made. The crystal is cut so that under certain conditions, it can receive optical effects. In the occipital region it has a lens that collects light and directs it to the eye holes.

The crystal is treated so that it has no trace of a tool. According to calculations of scientists to make such a perfect piece of crystal skull, that meets all the anatomical details, seven million hours of continuous working is required. Which equals 800 years of nonstop work.

And if the skull is processed 12 hours a day, it would drag on performance targets of 1, 600 years. Only polishing the surface would go to 300 years.

After communicating with the crystal skull, many people complained of nightmares, terrible visions, receiving headaches and even lapsing into a trance.
